Organization of the 2024/2025 academic year
at the Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University in Krakow
1. The 2024/2025 academic year begins on October 1, 2024 and ends
September 30, 2025. It is divided into two semesters:
1) Winter - lasting from October 1, 2024 to February 25, 2025,
2) Summer - running from February 26, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
2. The teaching period is held on the following dates:
1) October 1, 2024 to October 30, 2024,
2) November 4, 2024 to December 22, 2024,
3) January 7, 2025 to January 28, 2025*,
4) February 26, 2025 to April 16, 2025,
5) April 24, 2025 to April 30, 2025,
6) May 5, 2025 to June 17, 2025.
* on January 28, 2025 (Tuesday), classes are held according to Monday's schedule.

3. Examination sessions are held on the following dates:
1) Winter session - runs from January 29, 2025 to February 11, 2025,
2) Winter amendment session - runs from February 19, 2025 to February 25, 2025,
3) Summer session - runs from June 23, 2025 to July 6, 2025,
4) Summer amendment session - runs from September 8, 2025 to September 21, 2025.
4. The teaching period for students of the 7th semester, graduating from the first degree
program, is from October 1, 2024 to December 22, 2024.
5. Examination sessions for students referred to in paragraph 4 are held
On the following dates:
1) Winter session - runs from January 7, 2025 to January 19, 2025,
2) Winter amendment session - runs from January 20, 2025 to January 26, 2025.
6. Free periods:
1) break related to the All Saints' Day holiday - runs from October 31 to November
3, 2024,
2) Winter vacation - runs from December 23, 2024 to January 6, 2025,
3) Winter inter-semester break - runs from February 12, 2025 to February 18,
2025,
4) Spring vacation - runs from April 17, 2025 to April 23, 2025,
5) May - runs from May 1, 2025 to May 4, 2025,
6) semester break related to the Corpus Christi holiday - runs from June 18, 2025 to
June 22, 2025,
7) Summer recess - runs from July 7, 2025 to September 30, 2025,
and public holidays - November 11, 2024 and June 8, 2025.
7. Rector's Days (additional days off from classes):
1) October 7, 2024 (Monday) - the central ceremony inaugurating the 2024/2025
academic year, to be held at the Congress Center of the University of Agriculture
in Cracow,
2) October 23, 2024 (Wednesday) - Education Quality Day,
3) Friday in the week in which the Juvenile Hall is held - applies to studies
stationary.
8. Classes in part-time studies are organized in the form of two- or three-day
assemblies, on dates:
1) Winter semester: 4-6.10.2024; 18-20.10.2024; 15-17.11.2024;
29.11-1.12.2024; 13-15.12.2024; 10-12.01.2025; 24-26.01.2025.

2) Summer semester: 14-16.03.2025; 28-30.03.2025; 11-13.04.2025;
25-27.04.2025; 9-11.05.2025; 23-25.05.2025; 13-15.06.2025.
The dean may set additional dates for the reunions, of which he shall inform the Vice-
Chancellor
competent for education.
9. The rector for all students of the University, and the dean for students of the fields of
study implemented at the faculty, for organizational reasons after consultation with
the relevant council of the student government, may make changes in the division of
the academic year (§ 6 paragraph 7 of the Regulations of the University), in particular:
1) suspend the conduct of classes for certain days or hours on a given day,
2) change the start and end dates of the semester, maintaining the full size of
the realized hours in the semester.
The dean informs the Vice Chancellor in charge of education about the decisions made.
10. In the case of suspension of classes referred to in paragraph 9, point 1, the days allowing
to make up classes, including public holidays (Saturday, Sunday), are indicated. It is also
permissible to shorten the examination session (§ 6 paragraph 8 of the Regulations
studies).
11. The deadline for accounting for internships and other forms of teaching ends on the day of
the
September 22, 2025.
12. Entries for the winter semester of the academic year 2024/2025 of all years of
study should be completed by October 6, 2024, and for the summer semester by
March 7, 2025.
13. Adaptation Days for first-year students and departmental inaugurations can
take place from September 16, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
14. URK student housing accommodations begin September 25, 2024
and lasts until October 1, 2024, excluding Saturday and Sunday - from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. The indicated deadline does not apply to candidates who will be in the recruitment
process. As of October 2, 2024, vacant spaces in student residences enter the
University's reserve pool.
